The journal of linguistics Kalbotyra (3) (Germanic and Romance Studies) focuses on research into various aspects of Germanic and Romance language studies as well as the ones addressing cross-linguistic issues. It appears annually and regularly. The journal publishes articles, reviews of books and reports of conferences. Proceedings of conferences are also invited. Each issue consists of contributions in full text, followed by the summary in another language, different from the one in which the article is written. The contributions are accepted for publication in English, French, German and Lithuanian.
The journal is listed in CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library) and DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals).
Kalbotyra is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
The journal has been published since 1958.
